The program offers each neighborhood area one cleanup day per calendar year up to 16 cleanup days throughout the city. The City provides dumpsters for residential customers who live in single-family homes or duplexes on their neighborhood’s day to spruce up their properties and save a trip to the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center.
“The program is a great resource for neighborhoods to use,” said Lisa Wojtanowicz, Community Based Services manager. “Community cleanups provide residents an opportunity to dispose of large or awkward items and clean up in and around their homes for free.”
Residents interested in applying for their neighborhood can print the form at cityoftacoma.org/communitycleanup. Completed forms need to be returned by Feb. 9, 2015 to Community Based Services Community Cleanup (747 Market St., Room 108, Tacoma, WA 98402). Applications also can be faxed to (253) 573-2585 or scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
