WHAT IS THE TACOMA.FM MISSION?
We promote music discovery, the arts, and our local community. We provide education and training opportunities to groups and individuals so they can learn to create and distribute content across multiple platforms, including TACOMA.FM.
HOW IS TACOMA.FM DIFFERENT?
Unlike many community and public radio or media outlets, our sole purpose is to amplify all voices in our community with no corporate influence and no political or social agenda. We focus on diverse and inclusive programming and content to entertain, inform, and inspire. That’s a different kind of radio, indeed!
IS TACOMA.FM A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION?
Yes, we operate under the Tacoma based COMMUNITY RADIO GROUP, recognized and licensed in the State of Washington as a non-profit organization. COMMUNITY RADIO GROUP has also filed an application for 501c3 non-profit status with the Internal Revenue Service.
CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH TACOMA.FM?
Absolutely! TACOMA.FM cannot operate without volunteers to host music programs, create podcasts, and craft other locally produced content. We can also use help behind the scenes with things like marketing, social media, organizing community events, the list is long. No experience? No problem. We will mentor and train anyone who is interested in getting involved. After all, teaching useful skills is part of our mission. Reach out to us here

CAN I SUBMIT MY ORIGINAL MUSIC FOR CONSIDERATION?
Of course. We welcome and encourage original music submissions across all genres from local and independent artists. CD’s may be sent to the address below. We also accept music submissions via broadcast distribution sites such as PlayMPE. Due to security risks, we are not able to accept submissions via email attachments or file sharing sites such as Dropbox.
